THIRD GRADE

Caroline Dalton, M.Ed.
I grew up in the suburbs of Montgomery County, near Philadelphia, PA. After graduation from Bishop McDevitt High School I attended Widener University graduating with a Bachelors in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. After college I worked as an Assistant Learning Support Teacher while completing and earning my MEd in Special Education from Arcadia University. Shortly after completing my studies, I married, Dennis Dalton, a Marine F/A-18 pilot. We moved to Beaufort in 2003 where I taught at H.E. McCracken Middle School in Bluffton as a 7th and 8th grade Learning and Emotional Support Teacher in the Special Education Program and a Humanities teacher. After two years at H.E. McCracken, I was welcomed at Beaufort Middle School as a 6th grade Humanities and Language Arts teacher.  In 2008, after the birth of my second child I took a break from teaching to raise my beautiful daughters, Brooke and Kate. My husband was then transferred to Pensacola, FL. While there, in 2011, and excited to return to teaching, I substituted at two preschools in the pre-K classrooms. Another transfer has taken place and we have returned to Beaufort, having been away for 3 years. I am thrilled to be teaching at Riverview and firmly believe in the core values that the school exemplifies. My philosophies are that all students will grow when given the proper tools, positive direction, environment, role models, and the educational connections to succeed. I am so excited to join the 3rd grade team and look forward to meeting all the new students and families at Riverview.

Stephane Malijenovsky

Bonjour Parents!

Even though my name doesn't sound French, I was born and and raised in France. I have lived in the US for 26 years and eventually became a citizen. I am married and I have 2 daughters in college at the moment. I have a BS in Economics from the University of Valence, France and I graduated from "Vieux-Bois" Culinary Art School in Geneva, Switzerland. After working for the Loews Corporation in Monte-Carlo as a Banquet Director, I joined the Marriott force for 9 years as a banquet manager only to find out that F&B wasn't for me or raising a family.

I went back to school and graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in Education. I started teaching 3rd and 4th grade in a French Language Immersion program at Smith Academy of International Languages in Charlotte, NC.

I am also a National Board Certified Teacher and I have been teaching for 15 years. I have finally discovered my vocation and a sincere passion for elementary education. Gardening an 8 year old mind is such a meaningful and rewarding responsibility! Preparing the soil, planting many seeds and using all kinds of tools to fight the many challenging seasons only to harvest bountiful fruits in the end is what I thrive for. I believe a fun classroom environment is the KEY to learning.

I am also a strong advocate of core values and I believe in responsibility and work ethic.

I am delighted to join the Riverview team and I am looking forward to teaching your child and see him/her blossom with a fresh passion for learning.

My hobbies are cooking, fishing, painting, traveling and playing chess.

I love Beaufort's natural environment.
