When do classes begin?
Classes begin Monday, August 17, 2009. Riverview will follow the consolidated calendar adopted by the Beaufort County School District. Click here for a simplified Word version of our calendar or here for the District's complete version.

What are the school hours?
School hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Is early drop-off and after school care available?
Early drop-off will be available beginning at 7:15 am. After school care will be available until 6:00 pm. Details on our after school enrichment program, TIDEWATCH will be posted soon.

Are uniforms required?
The way students dress has a direct impact upon their attitude and performance and the attitude and performance of others. In order to maintain a respectful, positive and productive educational environment, Riverview will enforce a dress code. Click here for the complete policy.

When will we know who our teacher is?
Teachers and the grades are posted on the Faculty/Staff page. You will be notified of your class assignment a week or two before classes begin and an open house/orientation will be scheduled to provide an opportunity to meet your teacher and classmates.

When will we get to see our classroom?
Once Riverview's temporary home on Burroughs Avenue is renovated, classrooms will be assigned and teachers will begin preparing them for the first day of school. You will have the opportunity to view your classroom at the open house/orientation. In the meantime, we ask that you not try to get a "sneak peek" while construction is going on, but we also hope you will keep an eye out for Calls to Action that will go out later in the summer requesting help in putting the finishing touches on our facilities -- painting, landscaping, furniture-moving -- so that you can help in the enormous effort to bring our school building to life!

Is there a supply list?
Not yet. But, teachers are working on it and we will post as soon as they are ready!

Do we have a mascot?
Yes! We are the Riverview Stingrays. Go Rays!
