Riverview Charter School |
Ways to HelpThere are many ways one can help sustain a charter school: financial donations, in-kind donations, volunteer services. You can even help by saving trash and shopping at Publix! FINANCIAL DONATIONS: Riverview Charter School kicked off it's innaugural annual fund on October 23, 2009 with The Riverview Fund: 2009-2010 Campaign. With a goal of 100% participation from parents, staff, teachers, and board members, generous donations of any size -- whether it's ten dollars or ten thousand dollars -- will help ensure the future of our wonderful learning community. Click here to learn more about the Riverview Fund, or click the button above to make your contribution today! MISCELLANEOUS FUNDRAISERS: Every first Thursday of the month is Riverview Spirit Night at the Boundary Street Chick-fil-A. 10% of ALL sales (dine in or drive thru) go to Riverview. Come on by and join us! Riverview is collecting General Mills BOXTOPS for fundraising purposes. Clip your BOXTOP label and send them in to school! Similar to the BOXTOP collections, is the Tyson A+ for Education Program. Just cut the entire bag label or box flap from designated Tyson Chicken products (look for the A+ logo) and we'll collect $.24 for each one. We are also participating in the TERRACYCLE program which recycles children's juice bags. This program will accept Capri Sun, Kool Aid and Honest Kids juice bags and our school will receive $.02 for each bag we collect. This may seem like a small amount but can certainly add up quickly - and we are helping the environment, too! Be sure to start saving them. In order to submit the juice bags to Terracycle, you will need to slit the bottom open and run water through them to rinse them out. The straw and wrapper must be removed. There are collection boxes in each classroom for these projects. Finally, we have registered with PUBLIX for their school fundraising program. If you didn't get a Publix key chain card at the Family Picnic in May, let us know and we'll mail you one. You just ask the cashier to scan your card each time you shop at Publix and we will receive a percent of the total our families spend on groceries in cash for our school. What an easy way to support Riverview! IN-KIND DONATIONS: COMMITTEES: |
