Wow! I can’t believe summer is here! We had a wonderful year in Spanish.
Kindergarten students learned so much, and were so welcoming all year around. I’m ready to see you all in 1st grade!
Our first graders did a great job learning concepts that integrated with their main curriculum: planets, life cycles, shapes, etc.
Our second graders did fantastic! Their favorite units were about animal habitats and the weather changes. I’ll miss all these wonderful kids since they’ll be moving to French next year!
7th grade students are ready for our next cycle, Spanish 1B, in 8th grade.
To my 8th grade students, Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and interest in Spanish. I wish you all the very best in your new journey. Please keep in touch and let me know how your Spanish goes in 9th grade.
To all the parents, Thanks so much for your awesome support this year! I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me and my classes.
I am Señora Lopez and I teach Spanish here at RCS. I am originally from Colombia, South America, and I am very happy to live in the USA, especially in Beaufort. I have been living here with my family since 2004 when I got a job with Beaufort County School District. I hold a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and a master’s degree in education media design and technology. I am certified in South Carolina to teach Spanish and ESOL to K-12 students. I have always enjoyed teaching my native language to elementary and middle school students. I truly love my job and my Riverview family! It's definitely the right place for your children to enjoy school. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
