I graduated from Appalachian State University in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I've had the privilege of working with children of all ages.  I taught Pre-K through second grade at Port Royal Elementary School for 5 years.  I've also taught Pre-K and have served on the Board of Directors at Sea Island Presbyterian Day School. I am married to my husband, Ben and we have been blessed with three daughters Gracie, Caylin, and Blakely.  We love Beaufort and enjoy spending our time together outdoors, in the river, and at the beach.

I graduated from Wofford College in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. After working in retail for a few years, I began to search for a job with more meaning and purpose. I volunteered in an elementary school and fell in love! The learning environment and meaningful relationships which are possible in a classroom were so attractive to me. While living in Columbia I earned my Master of Art in Teaching in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina in 2012 and began teaching second grade. My husband, Andrew, a Beaufort native, and I moved home to Beaufort in 2013. I taught second grade with Beaufort County School District. I am thrilled to join the Riverview family as a first grade teacher! The mission statement and core values of this school speak directly to me as an educator and now as a parent of our son, Brinson. I am grateful to be a part of this wonderful school family.

I joined the RCS team after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina Beaufort with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College. I am married to my husband, Greg, who is a firefighter/EMT for the Bluffton Township Fire Department. I am thrilled to continue as a member of the RCS family and I know that Riverview’s philosophy of teaching the whole child and learning by doing is a perfect match for my teaching style. I understand how important it is to really know every student so that I can teach them based on their specific needs. I believe that every child has the ability to learn and I cannot to wait to facilitate my students’ learning and growth. As a native of this area, I couldn’t be more excited to give back to a place that helped me grow. I am ready to continue this journey with my new group of 1stgraders and I’m so happy to call RCS home!

I am a Beaufort native and and have been with Riverview as an instructional assistant since 2013.  I currently attend Grand Canyon University,  where I major in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood. I am married to Scott and have 4 children, two who attend Riverview. My previous experience includes working in a classroom at Sea Island Presbyterian Day School, teaching 2 and 4 year olds.  My passion is teaching and using creativity to make hands-on learning fun for students. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with my family.
