Spring has sprung, and Riverview's French students have been continuing to learn and practice French through a variety of dynamic games and activities. Here are just a few of the things we've been up to lately ...
Students love working on computers, and there are a variety of activities we can use them for. In these videos, we put a twist on working with Quizlet, in that I had students move from computer to computer after each answer they gave. This helped our more active students get moving in the classroom, and added fun and laughter for everyone!
These students have been using Flipgrid to create short videos that they upload to a private page that only class members can see. Sometimes they work alone, but in these photos, they are working with a partner. The assignment was to create an interview about one's favorite kinds of music. They prepped together and were allowed to use a script ... after all, it was all in French!
Sometimes, we get to focus on fun cultural lessons, and when mardi gras time came, the students enjoyed learning about the traditions (including zydeco music!), and making their own mardi gras masks! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
