During Writer’s Workshop, we have been writing a lot! We have been working on nursery rhyme books and baby books; they go right along with our study of ourselves as babies and the rhymes help with our reading fluency. We are super excited to read our Nursery Rhymes to the littles ones at Savvy Apple and Little Brown School for our Spring service learning project. Did you know that being read to as a young child greatly influences your own reading ability? We can not wait to share our love of reading with the little ones! We wrote about our eagles that we have enjoyed observing and we are finishing up our Beginnings animal research projects! Our writing has come so far, we are now successfully using sentence structure, punctuation, and writing more than one sentence!
Welcome to Mrs. Lindsey and Mrs. Ellen's kindergarten class!! We value educating the whole child through meaningful learning experiences! As teachers are passionate about an innovative learning environment, meaningful lessons, and creating a hands on learning community. I truly enjoy working with children, educators, and families to inspire and support innovative learning. Our classroom community aspires to make a difference in education and our community. By believing that every learner deserves a dimensional education, assured self-concept, positive motivation, experiential learning, good peer relationships, a desire to learn, as well as fundamental knowledge of reading, writing, and math we will continue to grow into problem solvers and information seekers!
