Welcome to a wonderful school year!
We have started this year with our traditional lesson on greetings and our calendar awareness. Below you will find what is going on in your child’s class in Spanish:
Kindergarten: We finished our unit on Greetings &Commands and we will be starting numbers 1-10 in October.
1st Grade: We reviewed some vocabulary from last year's units in August and September, and we have just started our unit on The Family (Mi Familia).
2nd Grade: We finished our unit on Feelings and Part of the Face and we will soon start Parts of the Body.
6th Grade: We finished our unit on Greetings and the Spanish alphabet today. We will start a review of numbers 0-100 next week. We're almost half way with our basic preparation for Spanish 1 in 7th and 8th grade.
7th (Spanish 1a): We just finished our preliminary unit ngs, and we are all ready to start our Spanish 1 unit 1. This new unit is all about asking/tellng what you like or dislike. A lot of new words for our 7th graders, so Quizlet practice is a must.
8th (Spanish 1B): We finished reviewing vocabulary expressions from chapter 3. and have started chapter 3 grammar 1 about the use of the verb “LIKE” in Spanish and -AR verb conjugations.

All classes will be using www.quizlet as an online tool to practice all the new vocabulary studied in class. make sure your child spends some time at home visiting this site. it has games that help retain meanings and/or the spelling of the words.
